Job summary

Genius Early Years seeks a qualified, fully registered Early Childhood Education Teacher to join as a Visiting Teacher for our home-based learning network in the Marlborough/Nelson region. You will provide professional leadership and support to our in-home Educators and Nannies, and are prepared to travel across regions to support the team.

The role involves guiding learning stories and programme planning, along with maintaining strong relationships with Tamariki and whanau.

Qualifications

• Diploma of Teaching (minimum)
• Current full NZ Education Council practicing certificate
• Experience leading adults, including mentoring and coaching
• Full clean NZ driver’s license
• Knowledge of professional practice in early childhood education
• Understanding of Ministry of Education legislation
• Ability to juggle a varied workload
• Excellent time management skills
• Self-motivated and enthusiastic
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to build and maintain professional relationships
• Experience with learning stories, programme planning and some administration
• Good computer skills

*Join our Home-Based Early Learning Service Team, as a Visiting Teacher.
If you are passionate about home-based childcare and enjoy Variety and Flexible working conditions in a fun environment, you will enjoy this role providing professional leadership and support to our in-home Educators.

This role is part time starting on 15 hours per week with the opportunity to increase as the network grows. This permanent part-time position would be based in the Marlborough/Nelson region. The successful applicant would need to be prepared to travel around the regions to support our Educators and team.
