Job summary

Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki is a not-for-profit kaupapa Māori health organisation, based out of Thames. This Poukura Kāinga - Home Assist Manager role leads strategic development and operational planning across the Thames-Coromandel region, with a focus on home and community support services and whānau-centred care.

You will recruit, develop and supervise the workforce, ensuring services align with tikanga, regulatory requirements and our operational manual.

Qualifications

• Experience leading home and community health and disability services.
• Experience with quality and risk management systems.
• Ability to recruit, develop and supervise staff.
• Knowledge of tikanga Māori; te reo Māori preferred.
• Based in Thames with regional travel across Thames-Coromandel.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic development and operational planning for Ohu Kāinga services.
• Oversee recruitment, workforce development and supervision.
• Ensure services align with policies, tikanga and regulatory requirements.
• Foster collaboration and feedback within the team.
• Build external relationships and advocate for Māori health.
• Contribute to quality, risk management and continuous improvement.
