Job summary

Te Korowai Hauora O Hauraki is seeking Health Improvement Practitioners to join the Whānau Pai primary mental health team in the Thames/Coromandel area. You will deliver brief, evidence-based interventions and work with GP clinics and local health teams to support whanau wellbeing.

The role requires current registration as a health professional and an annual practicing certificate, with a Kaupapa Māori approach and commitment to achieving health equity for Māori whānau.

Qualifications

• Must hold a current annual practicing certificate as a registered professional in one of the listed disciplines.
• Experience in primary mental health settings is desirable.
• Able to work in a kaupapa Māori environment with whānau.

Responsibilities

• Deliver brief consultation and evidence-based behavioural interventions to individuals, groups, and whānau.
• Support general practice teams and enhance capacity to respond to mental health concerns.
• Collaborate with wider Te Korowai Hauora o Hauraki services and GP clinics.
