Job summary

Fisher & Paykel Healthcare is seeking an Operations Engineer to join our Manufacturing Location Project Team, supporting the transfer of products and processes to our China operation. You will drive design transfer, establish manufacturing capability, and collaborate with Product Development, Quality, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain to ensure efficient, high-quality product releases.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and at least two years' experience in Design Transfer or NPI,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in Design Transfer or NPI.
• Experience creating or implementing manufacturing processes.
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Continuous improvement mindset with focus on operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Creating and implementing manufacturing assembly processes.
• Coordinating cross-functional project activities to deliver transfer milestones.
• Developing manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process specifications.
• Conducting process risk assessments, validation activities and manufacturing readiness reviews.
• Supporting introduction of new products, equipment and processes.
• Analysing production and quality data to identify improvement opportunities.
• Driving continuous improvement initiatives for safety, quality, delivery and cost.
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders across functions and levels.
