Job summary

Pact Group’s Albany site is seeking an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to partner with leaders and frontline teams. You will provide practical advice, strengthen safety ownership and help turn systems into safer ways of working every day.

Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, you will coach teams, lead audits and risk assessments, and drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with NZ health and safety legislation and AS/NZS 4024 where relevant.

Qualifications

• New Zealand health and safety qualification or equivalent.
• At least 3 years' experience in health and safety, ideally in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of NZ health and safety legislation and HSE management systems.
• Understanding of AS/NZS 4024 machinery safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Partner with leaders and frontline teams to strengthen safety ownership and capability.
• Maintain and improve site HSE systems, standards and reporting.
• Lead audits, risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Identify critical risks and implement practical controls.
• Support machinery safety, contractor management and environmental compliance.
• Coordinate HSE training and Site Health & Safety Committee activities.
