Job summary

JDE Peet’s is seeking an enthusiastic Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Advisor to support our Otara site and East Tamaki head office. You will partner with leaders to deliver HSE strategy, provide practical guidance, and drive continuous improvement across safety and environmental initiatives.

You will coordinate HSMS activities, investigations and training while ensuring regulatory compliance and positive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Health, Safety and/or Environmental role.
• A qualification in Health & Safety, Environmental Management or a related discipline is desirable but not essential.
• Understanding of health and safety frameworks, risk assessment methodologies and hazard management practices.

Responsibilities

• Support the HSE Lead to implement HSE strategy, annual plans and continuous improvement initiatives across the site.
• Coordinate and provide practical HSE guidance, coaching and day-to-day support to leaders and employees.
• Facilitate incident investigations, root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate workplace inspections, audits and hazard management to ensure compliance.
• Support injury management and return-to-work processes with leaders and external providers.
• Deliver and coordinate HSE training, toolbox talks and worker engagement initiatives.
