Job summary

Watercare is seeking an experienced Asset Protection Manager in Central Auckland to lead a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and safeguard Watercare assets. The role reports to the Head of Operations Performance and drives risk assessment, governance and service outcomes across transmission and network teams.

You will liaise with developers, contractors and project teams, ensuring quality customer service, and maintain outputs within budget.

  • Experience in contract and customer relationship management with a strong customer focus.
  • Ability to lead and develop a multi-disciplinary team (office and field based).
  • Excellent communication and reporting skills.
  • Experience in cross-functional collaboration across teams.

Responsibilities

This role manages a team of passionate Engineers who assess and manage risks ensuring the protection of Watercare assets. In this role you will also:* Liaise and coordinate with Developers, contractors and project teams Promote a culture of quality customer service in the organisation* Control output of business unit to ensure Watercare outcomes are achieved within budget* Initiate and develop partnerships with customers to define and evaluate service performance outcomes* Engage and motivate the team, creating opportunities for recognising and celebrating high performance at the individual and team level**Ngā pūkenga e rapu nei mātou | About you** You'll be a confident, enthusiastic problem-solver with a 'can-do' attitude that loves a challenge and works well under pressure.
