Job summary

Synergy Consumer in Auckland is seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant for a 12-month fixed-term role in a FMCG manufacturing environment. The role focuses on budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and management reporting, with a key duty to enhance ERP systems and processes.

You'll bring strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel, and ideally Power BI, plus a solid understanding of BOMs, recipes and production costing.

We're seeking a commercially minded Management Accountant who enjoys getting beyond the numbers and into the heart of a manufacturing business in the FMCG industry.

This 12-month fixed-term opportunity will suit someone with strong FMCG or manufacturing experience who understands the relationship between finance, production and operational performance.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and Production Manager, you'll contribute to budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and management reporting, while playing a key role in enhancing ERP systems and processes.

You'll bring strong technical accounting skills, advanced Excel capability and ideally Power BI experience. Importantly, you'll understand manufacturing ERP modules, bills of materials, recipes and production costing, and be confident championing system improvements across the business.

We're looking for a proactive, hands-on accountant who can engage with operational teams, challenge existing processes and turn financial information into meaningful commercial insights.
