Job summary

Health New Zealand in Wellington invites an experienced mammographer to join the team. You will deliver both symptomatic services and Breast Screen Aotearoa within a state‑of‑the‑art department, using tomosynthesis and biopsy support when required.

The role requires NZ-recognised post-graduate mammography qualifications and a commitment to high patient care, with evening or weekend shifts possible as service needs arise.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of mammography and breast imaging including Tomosynthesis.
• NZ-recognised post-graduate mammography qualification (BSA accredited).
• Perform high quality routine and specialized mammography while maintain­ing high standard of patient care.
• Assist in stereo core biopsies, vacuum assisted biopsies and excisions.
• Participate in the department QA Programme.

Responsibilities

• Perform all routine and specialized mammography with high quality and patient care.
• Contribute to Breast Screen Aotearoa screening programme for the region.
• Assist in stereo core biopsies and vacuum-assisted biopsy procedures.
• Engage in ongoing QA and professional development within the department.
