Job summary

Health New Zealand / Te Whatu Ora in Wellington regional area is seeking a Mammographer to support symptomatic services and the national Breast Screen Aotearoa program. The role includes high-quality mammography with Tomosynthesis, in a state-of-the-art department, with possible evening and weekend work.

Applicants should hold a NZ-recognised postgraduate mammography qualification (BSA accredited) and contribute to the QA programme while delivering excellent patient care.

Qualifications

• In-depth understanding of mammography and breast imaging including Tomosynthesis.
• NZ recognis ed post graduate mammography qualification (BSA accredited).
• Performs high quality routine and specialized mammography with patient care at the centre.
• Assists in stereo core biopsies, vacuum-assisted biopsies and excisions; participates in QA programme.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality mammography and breast imaging services.
• Support breast biopsy procedures including stereo core and vacuum-assisted techniques.
• Participate in the QA programme and maintain patient safety standards.
