Job summary

Sanford is seeking a practical Maintenance Tradesperson to support Bluff Salmon operations, maintaining processing plant, equipment and site infrastructure.

You will plan and record maintenance using CMMS, work safely, and contribute to reliability improvements. This role suits someone with a recognised trade qualification or significant practical experience in a relevant industrial setting.

Qualifications

• Recognised trade qualification or significant practical maintenance experience.
• Experience in manufacturing, food processing, engineering, marine, aquaculture or similar industrial maintenance environment.
• Strong mechanical fault-finding, repair and troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to prioritise work and manage competing demands.
• Commitment to health and safety, food safety and quality standards.
• Good communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Competent computer skills, CMMS usage, and maintaining maintenance records.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned, preventive, corrective and breakdown maintenance on processing plant, equipment and site infrastructure.
• Diagnose faults and complete timely repairs to minimise downtime and maintain reliability.
• Maintain and troubleshoot specialist processing equipment including filleting machines and vacuum systems.
• Accurately record maintenance activities in CMMS and manage work orders and purchase orders.
• Plan maintenance activities with production teams to minimise disruption and improve performance.
• Identify opportunities to improve equipment reliability and maintenance practices.
• Coordinate contractors and uphold safety, housekeeping and compliance standards.
