Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Waitōtara is seeking a Maintenance Planner/Engineering Store person to develop and maintain a planned maintenance system in partnership with the Engineering Manager. You will help reduce equipment failures and oversee the engineering store, while ensuring policy and safety compliance.

You will also conduct engineering stores purchasing and inventory control of all inwards materials, with emphasis on collaboration across teams and adherence to company procedures.

Qualifications

• Broad-based experience in engineering practices and project management.
• Proficient in CMMS (MEX), AutoCAD and MS Projects.
• Strong computer skills: Word, Excel and Access.
• Understanding of product specs, food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Willingness to complete leadership, health and safety training.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a planned maintenance system with the Engineering Manager.
• Aim to reduce processing equipment failures and enhance reliability.
• Administer engineering projects and oversee the engineering store at Waitōtara.
• Handle engineering stores purchasing and inventory control of inwards materials.

Te Tūranga /About The Role

The Maintenance Planner/Engineering Store person is responsible for developing and maintaining a planned maintenance system in conjunction with Engineering Manager. You will aim to reduce processing equipment failures and assist in the administration of engineering projects and overseeing running of the engineering store at Silver Fern Farms Waitōtara, while ensuring legislative, company policy and procedures are adhered to. The role is also responsible for engineering stores purchasing, including inventory control of all inwards materials.

Ōu Pūkenga /About You

• Broad-based experience and sound knowledge of engineering practices and policies with a particular emphasis on project management and CMMS (MEX)
• Good attention to detail and tech savvy, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, AutoCAD, CMMS and MS Projects.
• Sound understanding of product specifications, customer requirements, food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Ability to work effectively with different teams and build positive working relationships.
• Willingness to complete all required leadership, health and safety, compliance and operational training
• Experience in a purchasing role not required but ideal.
• A practical, energetic and accountable approach to achieving team and business outcomes.
