Job summary

Silver Fern Farms Waitōtara is seeking a Maintenance Planner / Engineering Stores professional to develop and maintain a planned maintenance system in collaboration with the Engineering Manager. You will aim to reduce equipment failures and support project administration while supervising the engineering store’s day-to-day operations and purchasing functions.

The role requires strong CMMS and MS Projects proficiency, plus hands-on experience with AutoCAD, Excel, Word and Access.

Qualifications

• Broad-based experience and sound knowledge of engineering practices and policies with a particular emphasis on project management and CMMS (MEX).
• Good attention to detail and tech savvy, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, AutoCAD, CMMS and MS Projects.
• Sound understanding of product specifications, customer requirements, food safety and hygiene compliance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a planned maintenance system in conjunction with Engineering Manager.
• Aim to reduce processing equipment failures and assist in the administration of engineering projects and overseeing running of the engineering store at Silver Fern Farms Waitōtara.
• Overseeing engineering store operations, including purchasing and inventory control of inwards materials, while ensuring compliance with legislative and company policies.

Maintenance Planner / Engineering Stores

The Maintenance Planner/Engineering Store person is responsible for developing and maintaining a planned maintenance system in conjunction with Engineering Manager. You will aim to reduce processing equipment failures and assist in the administration of engineering projects and overseeing running of the engineering store at Silver Fern Farms Waitōtara, while ensuring legislative, company policy and procedures are adhered to. The role is also responsible for engineering stores purchasing, including inventory control of all inwards materials.

ŌuPūkenga/About You:

• Broad-based experience and sound knowledge of engineering practices and policies with a particular emphasis on project management and CMMS (MEX)
• Good attention to detail and tech savvy, specifically with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, AutoCAD, CMMS and MS Projects.
• Sound understanding of product specifications, customer requirements, food safety and hygiene compliance.
• Ability to work effectively with different teams and build positive working relationships.
• Willingness to complete all required leadership, health and safety, compliance and operational training
• Experience in a purchasing role not required but ideal.
• A practical, energetic and accountable approach to achieving team and business outcomes.
