Fix This Property Solutions Limited is seeking a Maintenance Builder/Handyman in Christchurch. The role offers an immediate start with responsibilities across a variety of maintenance tasks in residential and small commercial settings.

The ideal candidate has hands-on building or carpentry experience, owns basic tools, and holds a NZ driver’s license. You’ll join a small, supportive team with a 35–40 hour work week and a competitive hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Solid hands-on building, carpentry or property maintenance experience.
• Own basic hand tools and a full NZ driver’s licence.
• Able to work independently, on-site problem solving, and produce tidy workmanship.

Responsibilities

• General building repairs and property maintenance.
• Doors, locks, windows, weatherboards and fascia repairs.
• GIB repairs, patching and minor painting.
• Decks, fences and exterior repairs.
• Bathroom and kitchen upgrade work.
• Gutter clearing and exterior cleaning.
• General gardening and hedge trimming when required.
• Work with team to complete jobs.

Maintenance Builder / Handyman (Immediate Start)

Christchurch | $30 - $35 per hour, depending on experience

Fix This Property Solutions is a growing Christchurch property maintenance and repair company working across residential homes, rental properties and light commercial sites.

We're looking for an experienced, reliable and practical Maintenance Builder / Handyman to join our small team.

This role would suit someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and hands-on work without being tied to large construction sites or doing the same thing every day.

About the Role

You'll carry out a wide range of maintenance, repair and small project work, including:

• General building repairs and property maintenance
• Doors, locks, windows, weatherboards and fascia repairs
• GIB repairs, patching and minor painting
• Decks, fences and exterior repairs
• Bathroom and kitchen upgrade work
• Gutter clearing and exterior cleaning
• General gardening and hedge trimming when required
• Working alongside other team members to get jobs completed properly

No two days are the same.

About You

We're looking for someone who:

• Has solid hands-on building, carpentry or property maintenance experience
• Can confidently work independently and solve problems on site
• Is reliable, punctual and turns up ready to work
• Takes pride in producing tidy, quality workmanship
• Communicates professionally with customers and other team members
• Is comfortable working in occupied homes and commercial properties
• Is happy to pitch in across different types of work when required
• Has their own basic hand tools
• Holds a full NZ driver’s licence

An LBP would be an advantage but is not required for this position.

What We Offer
