Job summary

KiwiQuest is seeking an experienced finishing machinery operator to join its Christchurch area manufacturing team. You will operate and adjust finishing equipment, ensuring quality and adherence to production schedules. A pathway to permanent roles is available for the right candidate.

We require machine operating experience, a mechanical mindset, and the ability to pass a drug test and security checks. Must have own transport and be physically fit to lift up to 20 kg.

Qualifications

• Machine operating experience in manufacturing environments.
• Machine setting experience is highly desirable.
• Must be able to pass drug test and criminal record check.
• Right to work in New Zealand.
• Afternoon shift start at 3pm; temp to perm opportunity.

Responsibilities

• Operate finishing machinery including slitting equipment.
• Set up and adjust machines for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality.
• Troubleshoot minor machine issues and make adjustments.
• Complete machine changeovers and production documentation.
• Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance.
• Maintain a safe and tidy work environment.
• Work according to production schedules and quality standards.
