Job summary

Technical Recruitment Solutions Ltd. is seeking a Machine Operator for a six-month contract at a large, automated beverage can plant in Wiri, NZ. No prior can-making experience is required, but mechanical aptitude and a hands-on attitude are valued.

Training will cover multiple areas of the production line, with a view to permanent placement based on performance. The role involves operating machinery, monitoring quality, and assisting with changeovers.

Qualifications

• Experience operating production machinery in a manufacturing setting.
• Mechanical aptitude and interest in how machinery works.
• Experience in a fast-paced, production-driven environment.
• Strong work ethic and reliable, dependable approach.
• Good communication and ability to work well in a close-knit team.
• Willingness to learn, take direction and get stuck in.
• Rotating shifts experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Monitor production processes to ensure products meet quality standards.
• Assist with machine changeovers and production adjustments.
• Carry out basic troubleshooting and resolve minor operational issues.
• Identify and report equipment faults or production issues.
• Follow health and safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Work closely with your team to keep production running smoothly.
