Job summary

Laminex New Zealand, part of Fletcher Building, Hamilton plant in Pukete, is seeking a Machine Operator to join our safety‑driven production team. You'll contribute to Melteca board production by setting machine parameters, monitoring performance and making real‑time adjustments.

This role requires 2–3 years hands-on experience, ability to operate industrial machinery and forklifts, good attention to detail, physical fitness for lifting up to 25 kg, and a willingness to learn.

Qualifications

• 2–3 years hands-on experience as a Machine Operator in manufacturing/production.
• Ability to operate industrial machinery and forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality in a safe work environment.
• Physically fit with ability to lift up to 25 kg and work at heights or in confined spaces.
• Quick learner with practical, hands-on approach.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Basic computer literacy to navigate digital control systems.
• Preferred Class 1 Full Drivers Licence and OSH Forklift Licence (advantageous).

Responsibilities

• Set machine parameters and monitor system performance.
• Make real-time adjustments via digital control panels and switches.
• Operate forklifts and perform quality checks to ensure product quality.
• Troubleshoot issues to maintain safe, smooth, and efficient production.
