Vitaco, a leading health and sports nutrition company in New Zealand, is seeking a Machine Operator for its Penrose packing area. The role covers day shift (6:00am–2:30pm) with a focus on operating high‑speed GMP packing lines, setting up and continuously improving processes, and ensuring compliance with SOPs and safety standards.

Ideal candidates will have strong mechanical aptitude, be physically fit for manual handling, and communicate effectively in English within a team environment.

Formación

• Experience operating high‑speed machinery is desirable.
• Ability to set up and improve production lines.
• Understanding GMP environments and quality standards.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and SOPs.

Responsabilidades

• Operate GMP packing machinery in a busy packing/manufacturing area.
• Set up, adjust and optimize line performance to meet targets.
• Ensure safe manual handling and adherence to safety requirements.
• Read, understand and follow SOPs and quality procedures.
• Maintain high standards of workmanship and communicate issues clearly.

Machine Operator Packing – [Day Shift 6:00am to 2:30pm]

The opportunity | Te whiwhinga mahi

This role is working in our packing/manufacturing area. Previous experience in operating high-speed machinery is desirable. You will preferably also have experience in setting and improving lines. Experience in pharmaceuticals/nutraceuticals/food & Sport nutrition manufacturing or similar industries would be ideal, as would a good understanding of GMP environments.

• Have strong mechanical aptitude and ability to problem solve
• Are physically fit and capable of safely performing manual handling tasks, including lifting items up to 25kg on a reasonably frequent basis
• Can be flexible and adaptable to changing requirements and deadlines
• Are passionate about improving the way you work
• Are able to work both alone and as part of a team
• Respect Health & Safety in the workplace
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining quality standards
• Ability to read, understand and accurately follow work instructions, Standard Operating Procedures, (SOPs), and safety requirements
• Demonstrated ability to follow established processes and work effectively within a regulated manufacturing environment
• Good communication, both verbal and written English
