Job summary

Vitaco Group is seeking a capable Night Shift Team Leader to run GMP Manufacturing and GMP Packing operations in Whangarei. You will oversee machine operators, coordinate resources, maintain safety and quality, and drive continuous improvement across shifts.

The role emphasizes leadership, SH&E responsibility, cost control, and collaboration with multiple teams. Onsite work with a strong focus on safety, productivity, and inclusion.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in FMCG.
• Proven experience in manufacturing and packing leadership (3-5 years preferred).
• Occupational health & Safety experience in a production environment.
• Intermediate PC skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Certificate-level trade or industry qualifications preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement focus.
• Financial acumen and ability to manage costs and resources effectively.
• Workflow planning and time management experience.
• People leadership capabilities - mentoring, coaching and team building.
• Experience with ERP systems, Navision or 3WS is a plus.

GMP Manufacturing and GMP Packing Team Leader, (Night Shift: 10:00pm to 6:30am)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a capable and proactive Team Leader to lead our Night Shift operations in the GMP Manufacturing and GMP Packing areas. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will oversee a team of machine operators and coordinate resources to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Health, Safety & Environment (SH&E) initiatives, ensuring compliance and promoting a "Safer Place Because of Me" culture.
• Deliver the production plan efficiently while maintaining high product quality and hygiene standards.
• Coach and develop team members, supporting performance, growth and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and practices.
• Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and People & Culture teams to ensure timely resource coordination.
• Maintain compliance with audit and collective agreement requirements.

Working Hours & Roster

• 45 hours per week
• Roster includes 1 x Sunday every 4 weeks

About You

You will bring a strong mix of technical, leadership and interpersonal skills, including:
