Job summary

Vitaco is seeking a capable Team Leader to head the Night Shift operations in GMP Manufacturing and GMP Packing. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will oversee a team of machine operators, coordinate resources, and ensure safe, efficient production outcomes.

The role requires FMCG experience, 3–5 years in manufacturing leadership, SH&E focus, strong communication, and financial acumen. 45 hours per week with a Sunday roster every 4 weeks; onsite facilities include cafeteria and parking.

Qualifications

• FMCG experience is essential.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing and packing leadership preferred.
• OH&S experience in a production setting is required.
• Intermediate MS Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• ERP systems familiarity (Navision or 3WS) is a plus.
• Strong communication and negotiation abilities are expected.
• Problem-solving mindset with a focus on continuous improvement.
• Ability to manage costs and resources effectively.
• Experience in workflow planning and time management.
• People leadership, mentoring and team-building capabilities.

GMP Manufacturing and GMP Packing Team Leader, (Night Shift: 10:00pm to 6:30am)

The Opportunity

We are looking for a capable and proactive Team Leader to lead our Night Shift operations in the GMP Manufacturing and GMP Packing areas. Reporting to the Line Manager, you will oversee a team of machine operators and coordinate resources to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality production outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and support Health, Safety & Environment (SH&E) initiatives, ensuring compliance and promoting a "Safer Place Because of Me" culture.
• Deliver the production plan efficiently while maintaining high product quality and hygiene standards.
• Coach and develop team members, supporting performance, growth and accountability.
• Drive continuous improvement and innovation in processes and practices.
• Collaborate with Planning, Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and People & Culture teams to ensure timely resource coordination.
• Maintain compliance with audit and collective agreement requirements.

Working Hours & Roster

• 45 hours per week
• Roster includes 1 x Sunday every 4 weeks

About You

You will bring a strong mix of technical, leadership and interpersonal skills, including:

• Proven experience in FMCG.
• Proven experience in manufacturing and packing leadership, (3-5 years preferred).
• Occupational health & Safety experience in a production environment.
• Intermediate PC skills, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Certificate-level trade or industry qualifications preferred.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Problem-solving mindset with a continuous improvement focus.
• Financial acumen and ability to manage costs and resources effectively.
• Workflow planning and time management experience.
• People leadership capabilities - mentoring, coaching and team building.
• Experience with ERP systems, (e.g., Navision or 3WS) is a plus.
