Job summary

Vulcan in Hamilton, NZ is seeking an Extrusion Operator to join our permanent, full-time team. You will operate aluminium extrusion machinery, monitor product quality, and help keep production running safely and efficiently. Monday-Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm.

Responsibilities include operating machinery, quality checks, material handling, and routine maintenance while adhering to health and safety procedures. A forklift licence is advantageous, and a pre-employment medical and drug test are

Qualifications

• Experience operating manufacturing or extrusion machinery.
• Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions.
• Experience carrying out machine setup, adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail.

We’re looking for an Extrusion Operator to join our Hamilton team on a permanent, full-time basis. You’ll operate aluminium extrusion machinery, monitor product quality, and help keep production running safely and efficiently. Monday-Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating and monitoring extrusion machinery
• Carrying out quality checks and basic machine adjustments
• Loading raw materials and monitoring production runs
• Completing routine machine cleaning and maintenance
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Experience operating manufacturing, production, extrusion or similar machinery
• Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions
• Experience carrying out machine set-up, adjustments and basic troubleshooting
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Forklift licence and experience advantageous
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
• Reliable with good attendance and a strong work ethic
• A valid work visa or the right to work in New Zealand
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
