Job summary

Vulcan in Hamilton, NZ is seeking a dedicated Machine Operator to run aluminium extrusion lines. You will monitor quality, perform routine adjustments, and ensure safe, efficient production in a permanent, full-time on-site role.

Ideal candidates have experience with extrusion machinery, strong attention to detail, and the ability to lift up to 25 kg. A valid work visa or right to work in NZ is required, with pre-employment checks.

Qualifications

• Experience operating extrusion or similar machinery.
• Ability to read production specifications and work instructions.
• Experience with machine set-up, adjustments and basic troubleshooting.
• Willing to pass pre-employment medical and drug/alcohol test.

This Full time on site position offers great opportunities for career growth. Looking for steady work, early finishes and a team that values hard work? We're looking for an Extrusion Operator to join our Hamilton team on a permanent, full-time basis. You'll operate aluminium extrusion machinery, monitor product quality, and help keep production running safely and efficiently. Monday-Friday 6.30am to 2.30pm.

What you’ll be doing

• Operating and monitoring extrusion machinery
• Carrying out quality checks and basic machine adjustments
• Loading raw materials and monitoring production runs
• Completing routine machine cleaning and maintenance
• Following health and safety procedures at all times

Requirements

• Experience operating manufacturing, production, extrusion or similar machinery
• Ability to read and follow production specifications and work instructions
• Experience carrying out machine set-up, adjustments and basic troubleshooting
• Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
• Forklift licence and experience advantageous
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 25kg
• Reliable with good attendance and a strong work ethic
• A valid work visa or the right to work in New Zealand
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol test
