Job summary

Fulton Hogan is seeking a reliable Water Cart/Loader Operator for Renwick Quarry in Marlborough this summer season. You will drive and operate water cart and loader, maintain equipment, and assist with quarry tasks under the Quarry Manager's supervision.

Ideal candidates hold a Class 4 licence with WTR endorsements, demonstrate safety focus and teamwork, and are ready for hands-on work in a dynamic quarry environment. Employment is a fixed-term summer position from Oct 1 to Mar 31.

Qualifications

• Current drivers’ licences up to Class 4.
• W,T,R endorsements (wheel, tracks, rollers).

Responsibilities

• Driver and operate machinery (water cart and loader) in a professional manner.
• Maintain equipment in a presentable manner.
• Ensure machinery checks are completed and necessary maintenance before operation.
• Assist with quarry operations and maintenance to support smooth quarry functioning.

The Opportunity

We are on the lookout for a hard-working Water Cart/Loader Operator to join our busy Renwick Quarry team for the summer season.

This is a fantastic opportunity to step into an interesting and hands‑on role, working in a dynamic quarry environment and reporting directly to the Quarry Manager.

Seasonal Term: 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.

Role Accountabilities

• Driver and operate machinery (water cart and loader) in a professional manner
• Maintain equipment in a presentable manner
• Ensure machinery checks are completed and necessary maintenance completed before machinery is operated
• Working with the quarry team and assisting where necessary to ensure the quarry operates smoothly (helping out with crusher maintenance and cleaning)

What you’ll bring to the table
