Job summary

Fulton Hogan in Blenheim is seeking an experienced Machine Operator to join our team on a fixed-term basis from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027. You will operate heavy machinery and support road construction projects across the Marlborough region.

Working outdoors, you’ll contribute to safety, maintenance and efficiency while enjoying a supportive team and long-term career potential beyond the fixed term.

Class 2 Licence with W/T/R endorsements required; ability to work away from home as needed.

The Opportunity

Due to increased workload, we're seeking an experienced Machine Operator to support our Blenheim team from 1 October 2026 to 31 March 2027.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Machine Operator you will

• Operator heavy machinery, and other road construction equipment, safely and efficiently
• Carry out general plant and equipment maintenance to best practice standards
• Ensure all work is completed in line with relevant job and work instruction
• Contribute to a safe, productive, and high performing team environment

What We're Looking For

You’ll be a great fit for this role if you have:

• Proven experience operating heavy machinery in a civil or roading environment
• A Class 2 Licence and W, T, R endorsements
• A strong commitment to safety and looking out for your teammates
• The ability to work away from home for up to 3 months, Monday to Friday
• Good communication skills and a team first attitude
