Job summary

Rockgas in Auckland is seeking a delivery driver to operate in a mostly sole-charge role after initial training. You will load and unload LPG cylinders, deliver them across the Auckland area, and maintain strict health and safety standards.

We will support you to obtain a Class 2 license, and the role includes a medical check with drug and alcohol testing and a criminal record check. A team-oriented workplace with competitive benefits awaits.

Qualifications

• A minimum of a full Class 1 licence.
• Experience driving a truck, preferably in a delivery role.
• Very good level of physical fitness to move LPG cylinders.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, integrity and adaptability.
• Flexibility to work outside normal hours and in all weather conditions.
• DG licence is an advantage and training will be provided.

Job Description

He aha tau mahi - What you will do:

You will often work in a sole charge capacity (after an initial training period) and require a full Class 1 or 2 license. It’s pretty physical as you’ll be moving a lot of LPG cylinders, loading and unloading them on to trucks and delivering them around the Auckland area. We’re big on health and safety here at Rockgas, so you’ll need to do all this while maintaining a safe work environment.

While it's great if you've already got your Class 2 license (even as a learner), we are also keen to hear from you if you have a full Class 1 and want to get into driving as a career. We will support you to get your Class 2 license and make sure you get lots of driving experience.
