The Warehouse is seeking a vigilant Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your primary focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of staff and customers across our stores.

You will monitor security cameras, maintain a visible shop-floor presence, engage with customers, and document events on our crime reporting platform. Experience in customer-facing roles is helpful, with strong communication and calm, professional conduct under pressure.

Job Description

Te kaupapa o te tūranga - The purpose of the role. We’re seeking a vigilant and proactive Loss Prevention Officer to join our team. Your main focus will be preventing theft and ensuring the safety of our staff and customers.

Hours Of Work Are

• Monday: 8:00am - 12:30pm
• Friday & Saturday: 8:00am - 12:30pm
• Sunday: 8:00am - 2:00pm

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor security cameras
• Maintain a visible presence on the shop-floor
• Interact with customers and address their concerns
• Upload events onto our crime reporting platform.

Qualifications

Experience in a customer-facing role, such as retail or hospitality, would be beneficial but is not required. Ideally, you will have good communication skills and a positive attitude, along with a willingness to learn. You should be comfortable standing for extended periods. Additionally, experience in conflict resolution and de-escalation, along with the ability to stay calm under pressure, would be beneficial.
