Te Karaka Lodge in the Waikato region is seeking two friendly Lodge Assistants for a 3‑month period starting in November. You will work across Front of House and Housekeeping, welcoming guests and supporting breakfast, dinner service, and room preparation in a remote rural setting.

Accommodation is provided, with Starlink internet and utilities included. Outdoor work and occasional garden tasks may be part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience in Front of House or Housekeeping is required.
• Confident and comfortable interacting with guests in English.
• Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

Te Karaka Lodge is a 10-bedroom boutique luxury lodge set on a beautiful 600-hectare working farm in the Waikato, approximately 1.5 hours from Auckland, Hamilton and Raglan.

We are looking for two friendly and hard working people to join our small team from November for 3 months.

This is a great opportunity for those who enjoy hospitality, meeting guests from NZ and around the world, working outdoors and experiencing life in a beautiful, remote part of New Zealand.

The Role:

Our Lodge Assistants are an important part of the guest experience and help across both Front of House and Housekeeping. Your days will be varied and may include:

• Welcoming and hosting guests
• Assisting with breakfast and dinner service
• Setting up and clearing tables, kitchen dishes
• Housekeeping and preparing guest rooms
• Laundry and general lodge cleaning
• Helping maintain the Lodge and guest areas
• Assisting with gardens and outdoor work
• Helping the wider team wherever needed

Kitchen experience is a bonus, and there may be opportunities to assist in the kitchen depending on your experience and the needs of the Lodge. We are a small team, so being willing to jump in and help wherever needed is essential.
