Job summary

Maid2Match NZ is seeking a reliable House Cleaner for a seasonal role in Auckland CBD. The position runs through the summer, with duties including cleaning shared spaces, preparing accommodation, and assisting with pack-down after the harvest season.

Hours are around 8:00am starts, three full days and three half days, with a preference for candidates who can travel to Central Otago tasks and have a valid full driver’s licence. Wages start at $26/hour plus a $1.50/hr end-of-season bonus.

Qualifications

• Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or practical work experience is required.
• Candidate must be physically fit.
• Be confident working independently and managing your own workload.
• Good problem-solving skills and initiative.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning of shared kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, laundry facilities, common areas, and outdoor spaces.
• Accommodation set-up and pack-down before/after the harvest season.
• Cleaning the office, packhouse kitchen, lunchroom, and toilet facilities.

Job description

$26 per hour + 1.50$/hr end of season bonus

Depending on the position allocated, responsibilities may include:

Seasonal Staff Accommodation

Daily cleaning of shared kitchens, bathrooms, toilets, laundry facilities, common areas, and outdoor spaces

Ensuring accommodation facilities remain well-stocked and welcoming for our seasonal workers

Reporting maintenance issues or concerns promptly

Preparing accommodation for incoming workers and assisting with room turnovers

Running errands and helping with general support tasks as required

Assisting with stock monitoring and replenishment

Accommodation Set-Up and Pack-Down

Assisting with the set-up of accommodation sites before the harvest season begins

Assisting with end-of-season cleaning and pack-down activities

Packhouse Facilities

One of the roles will also be responsible for:

Cleaning the office, packhouse kitchen, lunchroom, and toilet facilities

Setting up tea and coffee stations for packhouse staff as required

Cleaning and restocking tea and coffee areas

Completing daily staff laundry requirements

Maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming environment for staff throughout the season

What we're looking for:

Full driver's licence

Reliable

Previous cleaning, housekeeping, or practical work experience

Physically fit

Be confident working independently and managing your own workload

Good problem-solving skills and initiative

Highly Flexible and willing to help where needed.

Someone who has the potential to return back to another season.

Hours:

The position requires someone to work 3 full days and 3 half days and involves sharing job with another housekeeper. Most days start around 8:00am.

Applicants must be available for accommodation set-up in early December and pack-down in late January/early February. Access to your own vehicle may be required.
