Job summary

New World Papakura is seeking a Part Time Liquor Tastings Specialist to plan and deliver tastings, demonstrations and engaging experiences for our wine, beer and specialty ranges. You will help customers explore new favourites and drive sales in-store.

You will work closely with the Liquor Manager and suppliers to coordinate events, maintain tasting station standards and ensure compliance with alcohol laws. Weekend availability and LCQ qualification are preferred requirements.

Qualifications

• Passion for wine, beer and food pairings.
• Confident and engaging communication.
• Excellent customer service and relationship-building.
• Willingness to obtain LCQ.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging liquor tastings and product demonstrations.
• Share product knowledge and recommendations with customers.
• Create excitement around new products, promotions and seasonal offerings.
• Work closely with the Liquor Manager and suppliers to coordinate tasting events.
• Maintain presentation standards for tasting stations and promotional displays.
• Ensure tastings comply with Sale and Supply of Alcohol legislation and company policies.
• Track sales performance and customer feedback from tasting events.
• Assist with merchandising and promotional activities within the liquor department.
