Automotive Employment is seeking qualified Light Automotive Technicians to join a busy, professional workshop in a franchise dealership setting in New Zealand.

The role involves servicing, diagnosing, and repairing a wide range of passenger vehicles, with opportunities for ongoing training, career progression, and long-term stability within a reputable dealership. A minimum 40-hour week and competitive pay are offered, with training and modern tooling provided.

Qualifications

• Trade qualification as a Light Automotive Technician (or equivalent).
• Previous franchise dealership experience.
• Strong diagnostic, repair, and fault-finding skills.
• Ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Full, valid driver's licence.
• Good communication skills and time management.
• A strong commitment to quality workmanship and customer service.
• Genuine enthusiasm for automotive technology and ongoing learning.

Responsibilities

• Routine servicing, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults.
• Carrying out warranty and recall repairs in line with manufacturer guidelines.
• Ensuring all work complies with health and safety requirements.
• Maintaining accurate service records and parts documentation.
• Providing a high level of customer service and technical support.
• Working collaboratively with the workshop team to meet deadlines.
