Job summary

MBIE in Wellington is seeking a motivated Registration and Licensing Officer to join the Occupational Regulation team. You will process applications, respond to enquiries, and assist with administrative tasks to ensure licensing decisions are accurate and timely.

Training will be provided as needed. The role offers a permanent position in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a supportive team, and it includes KiwiSaver and wellness benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in a regulatory, customer service, or administrative environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor information to different audiences.
• High attention to detail, good judgement, and the ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Good organisational skills with the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with databases or CRM systems.
• Knowledge of occupational licensing schemes is advantageous but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Process registration and licence applications across our schemes, including some that may be complex.
• Respond to customer enquiries and provide clear, accurate information.
• Support the Registration and Licensing Team with day to day administrative tasks.
• Contribute to process quality, efficiency, and meeting service expectations.
• Assist with project work as required.
