Job summary

MBIE seeks a motivated Registration and Licensing Officer to join our Occupational Regulation team in Wellington. You will process applications, respond to enquiries, and support administrative tasks to ensure licensing decisions are accurate and timely.

Experience in regulatory, customer service, or administrative roles and strong communication are essential. Full training and ongoing support are provided, with a permanent position in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in regulatory, customer service, or administrative roles.
• Strong written and verbal communication, adaptable to different audiences.
• High attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; CRM or databases helpful.

Responsibilities

• Process registration and licence applications across schemes, including complex cases.
• Respond to customer enquiries with clear, accurate information.
• Support daily administrative tasks within the Registration and Licensing Team.
• Contribute to process quality, efficiency, and service delivery.
• Assist with project work as required.
