MBIE is seeking a motivated Registration and Licensing Officer to join our Occupational Regulation team in Wellington. You will process applications, respond to enquiries, and help with administration and project work in a dynamic, supportive environment.

Experience in regulatory, customer service, or admin roles is valuable; training will be provided for schemes like EWRB, LBP, IAA, MVTR. The role offers a permanent position and a focus on accuracy and timely licensing decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience working in a regulatory, customer service, or administrative environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with ability to tailor information for audiences.
• High attention to detail, good judgement, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Strong organisational skills with ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook; familiarity with databases or CRM systems.

Responsibilities

• Process registration and licence applications across schemes, including complex cases.
• Respond to customer enquiries with clear, accurate information.
• Support daily administrative tasks of the Registration and Licensing Team.
• Contribute to process quality, efficiency, and service delivery standards.
• Assist with project work as required.
