Job summary

DUAL in Auckland is seeking an underwriter with roughly 2–3 years of liability underwriting experience to join the WebRater team within Commercial. You will underwrite new and existing business, support brokers with timely decisions, and help keep the workflow moving on a digital platform.

You will assess risk, communicate underwriting decisions, and collaborate with the wider Commercial team to ensure accurate quotations, bindings and endorsements while maintaining high service levels.

Qualifications

• Around 2–3 years of liability underwriting experience.
• Understanding of underwriting guidelines and referrals.
• Clear and confident communication with brokers by phone and email.

Responsibilities

• Assessing new business, renewals, and mid-term changes across WebRater products.
• Reviewing referrals and declines and documenting underwriting decisions.
• Preparing quotations, bindings, policy conditions and endorsements.
• Managing WebRater and IMS workflow with accurate notes and statuses.
• Follow up quotations, renewals and outstanding information for conversion and retention.
• Support brokers by phone and email and resolve WebRater enquiries quickly.
• Apply pricing and referral requirements consistently and work across team queues.
