Job summary

HybrIT Services NZ in Palmerston North is seeking a Level 2 Engineer with a strong grounding in Microsoft cloud solutions to join our expanding NZ/UK aligned MSP team, delivering proactive cloud and on-prem support across diverse client environments.

You will be the first escalation point for complex IT issues, delivering swift resolutions, thorough root-cause analysis, and premium support to our clients, while maintaining professional communication and documenting outcomes for internal

Qualifications

• 2+ years' hands-on experience in an MSP or IT support environment.
• Experience with RMM and PSA tools (NinjaOne RMM, Halo PSA, etc).
• Experience with or knowledge of Microsoft Cloud Services.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical clients (this is a must)
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Experience with scripting languages, such as PowerShell or Python is beneficial.
• Strong knowledge of Windows systems (some macOS experience would be beneficial)
• Experience with Microsoft 365 products, including user and mobile device administration.
• Experience with networking technologies, such as Switches, Firewalls, and VPNs would be beneficial
• Experience with Claude or other AI tools would be beneficial

As Level 2 Engineer at HybrIT, you'll be the first escalation point for more complex IT issues, providing swift resolution or further escalation as required in order to deliver a premium support service to our clients.

We're seeking someone with a proven track record in IT support who can hit the ground running. This is not an entry-level role. As an MSP with a focus on Microsoft solutions, our ideal candidate will have:
