Job summary

BDO New Zealand is seeking a Learning & Development Business Partner to join the Auckland CBD office. You will partner with stakeholders across the BDO network to build capability and deliver engaging learning programmes that support business and people priorities.

Working with the National L&D Lead and People & Capability community, you will create meaningful learning experiences that help our people grow and succeed.

Qualifications

  • Experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development or related people capability.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building across levels.
  • Excellent facilitation, project coordination and organisational skills.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking with focus on continuous improvement.
  • Exceptional written communication and ability to create engaging learning materials.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications; coaching experience and professional services background advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with stakeholders to identify capability needs and develop learning solutions aligned to business priorities.
  • Design, maintain and improve technical and professional learning pathways and curricula.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create relevant and engaging content.
  • Support trainers and leaders to deliver high-quality learning experiences.
  • Monitor engagement and outcomes to ensure measurable value.
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers and oversee programme quality.
  • Coordinate delivery of workshops, programmes, conferences and events.
  • Maintain and optimise learning resources through BOLD LMS.
  • Contribute to learning communications and organisational development projects.

About The Role

We are looking for a Learning & Development Business Partner to join BDO New Zealand, based in our Auckland CBD office. This is a varied and highly collaborative role where you will partner with stakeholders across the BDO network to build capability and deliver engaging learning programmes that support business and people priorities. Working closely with the National Learning & Organisational Development Lead, service line leaders, subject matter experts and the wider People & Capability community, you will play a key role in creating meaningful learning experiences that help our people grow and succeed at every stage of their careers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders across your portfolio to identify capability needs and develop learning solutions aligned to business priorities
  • Design, maintain and continuously improve technical and professional learning pathways and curriculum frameworks
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create relevant, practical and engaging learning content
  • Support trainers and leaders across the network to deliver high-quality learning experiences and on-the-job development
  • Monitor programme engagement, learner feedback and outcomes to ensure learning delivers measurable value
  • Manage relationships with external learning providers and oversee programme quality and effectiveness
  • Coordinate the delivery of workshops, development programmes, conferences and learning events across the national calendar
  • Maintain and optimise learning resources and content through BOLD, our Learning Management System
  • Contribute to learning communications, continuous improvement initiatives and organisational development projects
Experience & Attributes
  • Experience in Learning & Development, Organisational Development, Talent Development or a related people capability role
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Excellent facilitation, project coordination and organisational skills
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking capability with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Exceptional written communication skills and the ability to create engaging learning materials and communications
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications, coaching experience and professional services experience are advantageous
