Trinity Catholic College in Dunedin invites applications for a Learning Assistant to join our Learning Support team on a short term fixed contract for the 2026 year. The role is term-time only, 20-25 hours per week across five days, primarily to support Intermediate classes in Te Timatuka.
The successful candidate will be flexible, computer literate, patient and mature, with an interest in working with junior students. Prior experience in Primary Education environments is advantageous.

An opportunity exists for a Learning Assistant to join our Learning Support team for a short term fixed contract. This will be a term-time only contract, starting as soon as possible and finishing up at the end of the 2026 academic year. This is a new position offering 20-25 hours per week over five days. This position is primarily to support our Intermediate classes in Te Timatuka, so having an understanding of Primary Education would be an advantageous.
The successful applicant will be flexible, computer literate, patient and mature, and have an interest in working with junior students. Excellent interpersonal skills are essential. It would be advantageous to have a proven record of working with, and an understanding of young people and their specific learning needs, although training and support will be given to the successful applicant. Prior experience or a good understanding of Primary Education environments would be advantageous.
Immediate start is preferred but there may be some room for negotiation for the right candidate.
