Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience designing and delivering academic skills development and support.
• Strong relationship-building skills to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience using data and research to inform continuous improvement.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• 5–7 years of teaching experience in tertiary or secondary education.
• A teaching qualification.
• Master of Education, Master of Applied Linguistics, or equivalent (or working towards).
• Curiosity about and experience with AI and emerging technologies for learning.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and Te Aronui journey.

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver inclusive academic learning support services for undergraduate and postgraduate coursework.
• Develop and facilitate learning interventions: individual consultations, small groups, workshops, orientations, resources.
• Support students to strengthen literacies, digital capabilities, study skills, and confidence.
• Collaborate with Te Mātāpuna, faculties and professional services to create accessible learning experiences.
• Monitor and evaluate programme effectiveness using data and feedback.
