Job summary

Halter is seeking Lead Engineers to tackle the hardest problems across frontend, backend, full stack or platform, shipping robust systems on real farms. You'll set architecture, mentor others, and push for high-quality code, observability, and scalable infra.

This role requires relocating to Auckland, New Zealand with visa and relocation support. You'll join a mission-driven team backed by top investors, building hardware, software and AI that changes farming.

Qualifications

• Experience shipping complex systems in production.
• Ability to set architectural direction and make core calls.
• Comfort with AI tooling to boost team output.
• Nice to have AWS experience and cloud-native mindset.

Responsibilities

• Take on the hardest problems and ship the work that proves them out.
• Set architectural direction and back it with code.
• Mentor engineers through reviews and design discussions.
• Improve testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure patterns across teams.
• Own reliability and performance of your domain with on-call responsibilities.
• Develop deep domain knowledge of Halter's farming technology.
