Job summary

Alignz Recruitment in Auckland, North Island, seeks a hands-on leader with strong slipform kerbing and kerb machine operation experience to lead a small kerbing crew on site. You will set up worksites, guide kerbing and concrete tasks to project specs, monitor quality and safety, and coordinate with supervisors.

You will bring proven supervisory ability, deep knowledge of civil construction, and a practical, hands-on approach on a busy site.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in slipform kerbing and kerb machine operation (hands-on site role).
• Prior leadership or supervision of a civil crew on busy projects.
• Strong knowledge of civil construction and concrete works.
• Confident operating machinery in a on-site environment.
• Good leadership and communication skills.
• Reliable, practical and hands-on worker.
• Licence: Class 1 preferred; Class 2 advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate slipform kerb machinery and related equipment.
• Lead and coordinate a small kerbing crew on site.
• Set up and prepare work areas for kerbing operations.
• Complete kerbing and concrete works to project specifications.
• Monitor quality, levels and finishing of kerb work.
• Read and follow plans, measurements and site requirements.
• Carry out basic machinery checks and maintenance.
• Ensure site health and safety requirements are followed.
• Communicate with supervisors and the wider site team.
• Assist with general civil duties when required.
