Job summary

Aurecon is seeking a Hydraulics / Fire Protection Engineer to join its Building Services team, delivering major projects across New Zealand, Australia and Asia.

You’ll lead design from concept to construction, shape practical solutions for water and fire systems, and work with architects and clients to resolve complex challenges.

We offer location flexibility, relocation support for the right candidate, and a path to chartership.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in building services consulting or equivalent.
• Knowledge of the Building Act 2004, NZBC, and BCAs.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to lead hydraulics and/or fire protection design on complex projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead hydraulics and fire protection design across complex building projects from concept to construction.
• Develop practical design solutions for gravity drainage, trade waste, water systems, drainage and fire protection.
• Provide technical guidance and coordinate with architects, clients and multidisciplinary teams.
