Qualifications

• Advanced knowledge of building management/engineering.
• A trade qualification or similar.
• Experience with budgeting and basic accounting.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to manage a team and maintain high guest service.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance Team in day-to-day hotel engineering operations.
• Coordinate with Housekeeping to prioritise maintenance in guest rooms and public areas.
• Develop systems to ensure health and safety of guests and staff.
• Communicate with local agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepare budgets for Engineering and monitor expenditures.
• Perform daily checks and oversee emergency procedures as required.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain mechanical equipment throughout the hotel.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external customers.
• Identify energy conservation opportunities and supervise energy programs.
• Oversee renovation projects and contractor management.
• Recruit, coach, and manage team performance and development.
