Job summary

PAE Inc Group is seeking a Grounds Supervisor to lead the Papakura Military Camp grounds team, coordinating maintenance across training areas, operational grounds and landscaped spaces. You will plan programmes, manage resources, and ensure work is delivered safely to a high standard, while supporting military training and community use.

On-site, Monday to Friday, 7.30 am to 4.00 pm, you will lead continuous improvement, build team capability and maintain strong NZDF relationships with a focus

Qualifications

  • Experience in grounds, horticultural or landscape maintenance.
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
  • Strong planning, organisation and people leadership skills.
  • Knowledge of grounds maintenance equipment and safe operating practices.
  • Full New Zealand Driver Licence.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain NZDF security clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the grounds maintenance team.
  • Coordinate daily, weekly and seasonal maintenance programmes.
  • Oversee training areas, operational grounds and landscaped areas.
  • Oversee stormwater systems and manage schedules, equipment and procurement.
  • Monitor quality standards, contract performance and safety compliance.
  • Build positive relationships with NZDF stakeholders and customers.
  • Drive team capability, accountability and continuous improvement.
