Potentia is seeking an Lead Frontend Engineer in Christchurch to shape frontend architecture, standards and technical direction. You will stay hands-on while guiding the engineering function, collaborating with product, design and business stakeholders to deliver scalable web applications.

You will lead the frontend team, set technical direction, review architectures, and mentor engineers. Strong Vue.js/TypeScript skills and a passion for quality are essential.

Qualifications

5+ years of commercial software development.
Strong Vue.js experience and TS/JS skills.
Excellent frontend architecture knowledge.
Ability to influence engineering practices.
Experience mentoring engineers.
Strong HTML/CSS and responsive design.

Responsibilities

Set and influence frontend direction across products and projects.
Design scalable frontend architectures and maintainable code.
Hands-on development and problem solving.
Champion code quality and testing standards.
Provide guidance through code reviews and architecture discussions.
Mentor engineers and collaborate with UX/design.
