Job summary

Franklin Smith Group in Queenstown is seeking an experienced Site Foreman to lead commercial and high-end architectural foundation work. You will oversee all foundation activities after dig out, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and to specification.

This hands-on role requires strong leadership, the ability to read plans, coordinate crews, manage documentation, and maintain NZ safety and building code compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in a supervisory role within New Zealand construction.
• Proven experience in commercial or high-end architectural foundation work.
• Knowledge of foundation systems, concrete work and waterproofing.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate foundation crews on sites.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications and project plans.
• Ensure proper layout and excavation for foundations.
• Oversee concrete pouring, form setting and finishing.
• Maintain quality control and safety compliance.
• Manage daily reporting and documentation.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement solutions.
