Job summary

Placements24 seeks an experienced Electrical Installation Supervisor to oversee on-site electrical installations around Queenstown. You will lead a team of electricians, ensure work complies with design specs and safety regulations, and coordinate with project managers and clients to keep projects on schedule.

The ideal candidate has a recognized electrician qualification with a trade test, at least five years supervising electrical installations, and a strong ability to read technical drawings

Qualifications

• Qualified Electrician with a valid trade test certificate.
• Minimum 5 years supervising electrical installations.
• Knowledge of electrical codes and safety regulations (SANS).
• Ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervise on-site electrical installation activities, ensuring adherence to project timelines and specifications.
• Lead, guide, and motivate a team of electricians and technicians, ensuring safe work practices and high-quality workmanship.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations on site.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to address installation challenges or modifications.
• Review installation drawings and ensure work is executed according to latest revisions and standards.
• Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of electrical installations, ensuring full functionality and performance.
