Job summary

CHT Care Homes in Waiuku (NZ) is seeking a qualified Diversional Therapist to lead engaging activities for our 60-bed care home. You will bring energy, creativity and compassion to create meaningful moments for residents and work closely with the care team.

Qualifications

• Qualified Diversional Therapist with experience in elder care.
• Ability to lead and collaborate with care teams.
• Creative and energetic approach to resident engagement.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver individual and group activities that meet residents’ needs
• Encourage social interaction and participation, and document activity outcomes
• Maintain activity supplies and monthly activity schedules
• Follow health and safety requirements and report incidents
• Work collaboratively with the care team to improve the activity programme
