Job summary

An established New Zealand engineering consultancy is seeking an upper-intermediate Civil Engineer ready to step up to a Senior Engineer role. You’ll own civil projects from design through delivery, acting as a trusted client contact and leading meetings.

The team handles land development, commercial, and brownfield projects, with growing responsibility as you progress. You don’t need to know everything at start, but you’ll need confidence, initiative and a proactive approach to drive solutions

Qualifications

• At least five to six years’ civil engineering experience.
• Experience within a reputable engineering consultancy.
• Strong Civil 3D capability.
• New Zealand land development or civil infrastructure experience.
• Clear, confident communication skills.
• A proactive approach and willingness to take responsibility.
• The ambition to progress into a Senior Engineer role.

Responsibilities

• Manage civil projects from concept through to completion.
• Coordinate designs, programmes and project deliverables.
• Lead client meetings and maintain strong relationships.
• Deliver civil design using Civil 3D.
• Work across land development, commercial and brownfield projects.
• Identify issues early and proactively drive solutions.
• Support junior team members as your leadership responsibilities develop
