Job summary

CORDE Ltd in Canterbury is seeking an experienced Civil Carpenter to join our team as Leading Hand - Structures. You will lead and supervise a crew on bridges, retaining walls and boardwalks, with a focus on formwork, concrete placement and steel fixing.

Reading and interpreting construction drawings and specifications is essential, as is delivering high quality work on time and in a safe manner. NZ residency or a valid NZ work visa is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil infrastructure concrete and formwork construction.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proven leadership of tradespeople and labourers on site.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise a crew on multiple civil projects to programme.
• Ensure work meets quality, safety, and specification requirements.
• Coordinate with other trades and manage onsite logistics.
• Read plans, interpret specs, and implement works on site.
