Job summary

Albany NewWorld in Auckland is seeking a Bakery 2IC to help lead our high-performing bakery team. You will support the Bakery Manager with planning, daily operations, and the delivery of quality bakery products.

You will train and develop team members, manage production planning, stock control and waste reduction, and ensure food safety and presentation standards while delivering outstanding customer service.

• Experience in a commercial bakery environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the Bakery Manager with planning and coordinating daily operations.
• Produce high-quality bakery products to the highest standards.
• Maintain food safety, health & safety and presentation standards.
• Train, mentor and develop team members.
• Assist with production planning, ordering, stock control and waste reduction.
• Help achieve sales, productivity and department targets.
• Deliver outstanding customer service and foster a positive team culture.
• Assist with roster planning and department administration as required.
